Capital Improvements
The Capital Improvement Department is responsible for the development of the programs, schedules and budgets for all of the building projects that are in the City’s comprehensive development plan.

Code Enforcement & Business Licensing
Our Business Licensing & Compliance Division focusses on maintaining a business in compliance with the City of Miami Gardens’ licensing requirements, from initial business licensing, yearly renewals and re-occupancies.

Community Services
The mission of the Community Service Department is to utilize the grant funds it receives from Federal, State, and Local government sources to aid in the development of viable urban communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment and expanding economic opportunities, principally for persons of low and moderate income.

Finance
The Finance Department is responsible for accounts payable, payroll, cash receipts, grants reimbursements, budgeting, cash management, and debt management of the City.

This department processes all employee-related needs, including: recruitment, discipline, promotion, training, benefits administration and retirement.

We provide excellent technical support for the city and police department staff in an effective and efficient manner.

Parks & Recreation
The City of Miami Gardens Parks & Recreation Department will provide safe, inclusive, environmentally friendly parks, trails and recreation facilities.

Planning & Zoning
The Planning and Zoning Division handles the City of Miami Gardens’ short and long term planning needs, including site plan, plat and zoning reviews for proposed residential and commercial development and redevelopment projects in the city.

The Office of Procurement Management serves as a centralized purchasing service for the City's various agencies and departments.
