Assistant City Attorneys assist the City Attorney in providing legal advice, support and direction to the City Council and the City staff in their capacity of performing official City duties.
Ms. Arscott joined the City of Miami Gardens in March 2016. Prior to joining the City, she served as a litigation attorney in the Corporate Law Department of a major insurance company, primarily practicing insurance defense. Ms. Arscott initially dedicated her practice to Family and Dependency Law; first as Program Attorney for the Guardian Ad Litem Program, and then as Division Chief for Florida's Department of Children and Families' Children's Legal Services. Ms. Arscott received a Bachelor's of Art in both Political Science and English, while minoring in Psychology, in 2003. She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida's Levin College of Law in 2006.
